Are you going to be attending funeral services at one of the cemeteries in Windsor, NJ sometime soon? Or are you going to be visiting a loved one’s grave at one of these cemeteries? Either way, you’re going to want to be on your best behavior at all times while you’re inside of a cemetery. More specifically, you’re going to want to steer clear of doing certain things while you’re in one. Today, we’re going to run through a list of the things you shouldn’t ever do when you’re visiting cemeteries. It could help to stop you from finding yourself in a sticky situation.
Drive fast or park on the grass
In order to get to a cemetery, you’re probably going to have to drive to it. This means that you’ll have to ride around in your car inside of a cemetery. It’s perfectly fine to do this, but you should avoid driving too fast in a cemetery. You should also be careful about where you park in a cemetery. You don’t ever want to park your car on the grass and run the risk of doing damage to the landscaping. You could get into some serious trouble if you end up doing this.
Make a lot of noise
There is a pretty good chance that there will be other people inside of a cemetery paying their respects to their loved ones while you’re there. The last thing in the world that you want to do is make any noise and interrupt them. You should turn your car radio down when entering a cemetery and exit your car as quietly as you can. You should also try not to talk too much in a cemetery and even resist the urge to ask other people at a cemetery questions.
Walk on top of people’s burial plots
To get to your loved one’s burial plot, you’re likely going to have to walk past lots of other burial plots. While you’re doing it, you should pay close attention to where you’re walking and stay off of other people’s burial plots. Walking on them is the ultimate sign of disrespect. Most cemeteries will provide you with paths to walk on, but it’s easy to find yourself standing on someone else’s burial plot if you’re not mindful about where you’re going.
Drop garbage on the ground
Most cemeteries go above and beyond to keep their grounds looking beautiful. They landscape them early and often and go out of their way to keep the flowers that are put on people’s memorials looking fresh. With this in mind, you should make it a point not to drop a single piece of garbage on the ground. You should either put garbage into your pocket and throw it away later or find a garbage can in a cemetery and use it. You shouldn’t toss trash onto the ground under any circumstances.
